You will be part of the HR team responsible for partnering with our internal customers to support the success and growth of our company by utilizing Williams-Sonoma Inc.’s core value “People First”. About the Role

The Human Resources Generalist blends strategy and hands-on action to provide cohesive Human Relations service for our Customer Contact Centers. This role is critical in our success in driving the “People First” initiative. The Human Resource Generalist will also be a pivotal strategic force during our holiday hiring seasons as they’ll participate in everything from community outreach brand exposure to full cycle onboarding.

  • Monitor the “pulse” of the care center, employees and business partners to identify needs, while providing an action plan to senior HR leadership

  • Be comfortable in a complex business that thrives under change

  • Calculate metrics, create reports/presentations, and formulate accurate data quickly

  • Assist with general questions regarding attendance, benefits, and leave of absence procedures and other subjects as needed

  • Partner and collaborate with cross-functional teams that include HR Business Partners, Recruiting, Ops management, Senior leaders and specialists as needed

  • Manage performance targets for both HR support staff and inter-departmental business teams

  • Work daily with leadership to support their role in developing associates and in the supervisor’s development as well

We’re excited about you because...

 

  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree in related field with minimum PHR certification

  • Have experience with performance management and employee development programs

  • You have HRIS experience with one of the following (Oracle, Lawson, Paycor, Kronos, Sage etc.)

  • Knowledge of Oklahoma state labor laws and practice

 

Technical Competencies required:

 

  • Competence in general computer skills and the use of common business software, including Microsoft Office with emphasis in Excel

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to meet set deadlines

  • Strong customer service and communication (both oral and written) skills

  • Convey a positive and professional image at all times

  • Must have strong integrity and able to maintain a high level of confidentiality

  • Strong multi-tasking skills a must
