You will be part of the HR team responsible for partnering with our internal customers to support the success and growth of our company by utilizing Williams-Sonoma Inc.’s core value “People First”. We’re fun and a little crazy so come prepared to have a good time!

 

About the Role

In the HR assistant role, you will provide a wide range of administrative and technical assistance to the HR department. Duties will range from onboarding support, time keeping assistance to auditing employee reports and much more! The position is crucial to the success of our department and will provide growth opportunities for those wanting to break into the HR industry!
 

Job Duties: Your day to day

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will...

· Assist in heavy detailed data entry into various HR systems

· Answer routine inquiries from inside and outside the company on basic HR related topics

· Assist with general questions regarding attendance, benefits, and leave of absence procedures and other subjects as needed

· Process associate requests and documentation

· Assist with the MYHR internal hotline regarding wellness inquiries, payroll etc. 

· Route complex matters to appropriate HR team member

· Assist in maintaining employee files in line with company policies and government regulations

· Ensure data integrity and accuracy of all department records

· Thrive in ambiguous situations

· Other duties as assigned

- Compensation ranges from $19 - $19.50/hr based on experience and credentials. 


 

We’re excited about you because...

· You have a High School Diploma / GED or Associates Degree

· Previous HR experience required, California a plus

· Continuing education (classes, webinars, etc.) with a focus on HR a plus

· Equivalent combination of education, training and experience

· HRIS and ATS experience is preferred

· Knowledge of general HR policies and procedures strongly preferred

· APHR certification preferred

 

Technical Competencies required:

· Competence in general computer skills and the use of common business software, including Microsoft Office and other programs

· Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

· Must display empathy while having sensitive conversations

· Ability to meet set deadlines

· Strong customer service and communication (both oral and written) skills

· Convey a positive and professional image at all times

· Must have strong integrity and able to maintain a high level of confidentiality

· Strong multi-tasking skills a must
