POSITION SUMMARY:
The Finance Manager is responsible for managing financial reporting for a segment of the global WSI company. Among their responsibilities, the Finance Manager will manage monthly reporting, ad hoc analysis, financial planning and process improvement.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
* Manage and oversee the monthly accrual process, forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis processes
* Communicate the drivers costs variances and build forecast/budget bridges
* Prepare concise and insightful summary analysis for Senior Management
* Propose and implement improvements to month end procedures, day-to-day job responsibilities and other functions
* Provide ad hoc analysis for leadership teams as requested
* Special projects as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Finance, economics, or related degree
* 6+ years experience in an accounting/finance role, across multiple business units, depts, etc
* 3+ years management experience
* Prior experience budgeting and forecasting
* Experience with process improvement implementation
* Must be systems savvy. Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft Excel (v-look-ups, sumifs, massive spreadsheets) Access and multi-dimensional data reporting tools
* Self-motivated, results-oriented, with strong intellectual curiosity
* Strong problem solving skills, including the ability to effectively address issues in collaboration with others as appropriate
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
* Ability to work well under pressure and effectively handle multiple, concurrent demands and appropriately prioritize responsibilities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Advanced degree or certification
* Prior experience in retail industry
* Experience with Hyperion Essbase
* Experience with SQL Server
* Experience with Lawson or Oracle accounting software
* Knowledge of large corporate accounting prog
