SALARY GRADE: 20 (formerly grade 15) -  Starting wage is $60,600 - $68,500 depending on location and may change due to tenure, merit, and or state-exempt wage requirements 
REPORTS TO:  General Manager

Job Description: Why you and why us?
The Account Manager will work directly with our clients, as well as our internal business partners, to ensure top accounts build loyalty within our family of brands. The Account Manager will be responsible for high-level project management on our largest accounts, including quotes and order placement, invoicing, reselects and upselling, and order servicing. The Account manager has eyes on multiple projects at once, nurturing relationships with our highest-yielding accounts. This individual will excel with a strong proficiency in time management, a brilliant attention to detail, and a background as an individual contributor within a larger team setting. The ideal account manager is a self-starter, utilizing downtime to proactively review open opportunities, and check in on ongoing projects.

Essential Functions: The nuts and bolts

  • Display your talent under your own spotlight as an individual contributor
  • Oversee exciting projects such as orders for Chain restaurants or Professional Sports teams
  • Build a rapport with our corporate partners and logistics team, gaining insight on more areas of the business than just your own
  • Coordinate large, complex projects with special handling requirements, due to the unique needs of our trade members
  • Proactively anticipate customer needs and project requirements, provide consistent updates, and manage all necessary follow-ups to ensure a seamless experience
  • Partner closely with inventory, supply chain, and logistics to facilitate special handling requests
  • Resolve customer escalations with patience and professionalism, striving for the best possible outcome for both the customer and WSI
  • Develop strong relationships with both internal and external business partners
  • Manage general B2B customer service functions including quote requests, invoicing, order processing, accounting, and post-order care for business-to-business clients
  • Manage communication by phone and email from internal and external customers in a timely and professional manner delivering an elevated level of service

 

Qualifications: What you need to apply

  • 2-4 years of customer service/sales experience required
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Prior Business Sales Experience and Salesforce experience preferred
  • Background in Hospitality, Project management, or Purchasing/Procurement preferred
  • Prior Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM is a plus
  • Prior experience working in multiple operating systems simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professional oral and written communication required
  • High attention to detail and strong time management/prioritization skills.
  • Highly proficient in Windows 8/10, Microsoft Outlook and Office Suites, Adobe Acrobat and Chrome is a must

 

Important Facts:

  • This is an Exempt-level position requiring flexibility up to and beyond 40 hours per week
  • Work schedule subject to vary based on business needs
